Nothing brings anime to life more than a stunning soundtrack – especially when played by stringed instruments! In this intimate Season II opening concert, NY’s musical nerdfest iconiQ The Soundtrack Orchestra presents the best string orchestra music from popular Japanese animated series (anime) – including Cardcaptor Sakura, InuYasha, Naruto, Spirited Away, Yona of the Dawn, and more – played by our 9-piece 愛のOrchestra (“LOVEOrchestra”).

We take a break in our usual schedule to tribute one of the legendary composers who left our lives this year. James Horner was a true musical genius, crafting melodies and soundscapes for Titanic, Aliens, Avatar, and most recently Southpaw. Bobbie offers this cello tribute to Horner’s works for animated movies The Pagemaster, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, and Balto.

We miss you dearly and hope to see you again in that big somewhere out there …
