NEW YORK, NY – May 4, 2015 – Tickets are on sale for SERASYMPHONY: Sailor Moon Symphony, the fan-created orchestral tribute to the music of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon performed by iconiQ The Soundtrack Orchestra at The Colburn School in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, July 5, 8pm.
Originally conceived as a video montage celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary, the tribute concert features musical themes from the 1992 anime adaptation in a five-movement suite, complete with a double concerto performed by violinist Christina Bouey and composer-pianist Yasuhiko Fukuoka. Played by a 30-piece chamber orchestra led by concertmaster Annette Homann and conducted by Bobbie Lee Crow III, this performance will include a special medley of DiC dub music starring guest singer Jennifer Cihi, the English singing voice of ailor Moon.
A successful Kickstarter campaign ran from February 15-April 16 raising $7,500 towards the event.
SERASYMPHONY: Sailor Moon Symphony will be held in Zipper Concert Hall inside The Colburn School at 200 South Grand Avenue. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased online at: http://serasymphony-la.brownpapertickets.com. VIP tickets are available for front center orchestra seating and access to a pre-concert panel with the soloists and conductor.
